This guide will show you how to setup Contacts Manager version 4.0 for UCS users.
- Right-click UCS user e.g. "Barry Ramos", choose Populate from the menu, pop up windows will appear, click Yes.
- After you confirm that you want to populate, click Auto Discover in FormUCSInfo
- After Contacts Manager displays EWS URL, click Save
- After you click Save, FormUCSInfo will disappear, and Contacts Manager will successfully populate contact list to the user.
Contacts Manager failed to save.What should i do ?
- Sometimes Contacts Manager displays failed when click Save as below figure. This can happen if it cannot initiate a session with Exchange CAS Server. In such a case we do some configuration manual.
- Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Vytru\Contacts Manager\Parameters.xml", right-click parameters file, and click edit, and then type your EWS URL as below figure.
- Once finished, click exit and save.
- Log on to Exchange CAS server.
- Run Exchange Management Shell with account member of Organization Management group.
- Run the following command as below figure:
Important:
- This topic uses example values such as Server. Replace the example values with ComputerName of machine that hosts Contacts Manager in your organization.
- Server in the above command exists two times once after CM- and once after Computer. you should replace it in the two places.
- Restart Contacts Manager.
- Right-click UCS user e.g. "Barry Ramos", choose Populate from the menu, pop up windows will appear, click Yes.
- After populating operation completed, result window will appear with success state.
- To verify that you've successfully setup Contacts Manager for UCS, In Lync client main window, click file, click sign out, click sign in, and then check contact list of UCS user. you will see that contact list is populated successfully.
