​RVC provides a quick escape options to recover system from any obstacles.  
Quick escape options added to charm bar. 
Quick escape options contains 3 options “Refresh”, “Restart System”, and “Restart Device”. 

​When the user remove USB flash drive after opening files, RVC will remove this files from Apps viewer to prevent anyone to access the files other than the owner.

​

Description: 
​When you share something with a contact for the first time a duplicated icon of shared item appears in presentable content. 

Workaround : 
​You can close one icon from presentable content.

Description: 
​During conversations when you share any file after sharing HDMI, and leave RVC idle, the viewer will be minimized for few minutes.

Workaround :
You can maximize viewer again from charm bar​.

​RVC displays a notification to quickly share HDMI page when connecting HDMI source during the active conversation.
RVC opens the HDMI page immediately when connecting HDMI source.
When disconnecting HDMI source, RVC close HDMI page and return to previous page automatically.

          This feature will work with specific version of the HDMI grabber “Magewell”

Description: ​
If you set the device to auto accept call, and you get an incoming IM from someone, then after accepting and ending call get another IM, and so on, sometimes it isn’t auto-accepted.

Workaround : 
The first incoming IM is always received correctly; you can restart system to get another IM from the same contact.

Description:​
If you open apps and have many files opened simultaneously, and try to close one file from the roster, roster auto-hides automatically after you close the file.

Workaround:
Just touch anywhere on the screen or move your mouse, and the roster will re-appear.

Description:
​If you open charms bar and try to pause/resume camera, in some cases this doesn’t work.

Workaround:
Usually stopping video, or toggling preview camera on/off, or selecting different camera then back to first camera will resolve the problem.

What’s New:

• ​Select Default Resolution for HDMI-Input 

Admin can set HDMI resolution for the selected HDMI-Input device. This resolution will be selected by default for anyone who uses HDMI-Input in the meeting room. User can still adjust the resolution during his sessions. Each new session will still use the default resolution set by the admin.  

• Visible hint for Charm Bar 

Visible hint added to the charm bar to make users aware of its existence.

Admin can manage whether he wants to use apps or not, and what specific apps to be accessible to users.

Known Issues: 

• HDMI Page does not update its content at runtime when selected grabber is disconnected and then connected again. 

While the HDMI page is open, it does not update its content when the selected grabber is disconnected and then connected again.

Workaround  
User can close the HDMI page and then open it again to update its content. 

• Air-sharing Shows Flicker after Connecting a Device for the First Time 

When user starts RVC and starts air sharing, then tries to connect to it using his phone/tablet, the screen will appear but flicker will make it uneasy on the eye. 

Workaround  
Right click and select exist full screen, then right click and enter full screen mode again. 

Now you can save the shared whiteboard on a flash memory during conversation for later use.

Shared whiteboard can be sent to any participant(s) during a conversation. 

The system wakes up from Sleep Mode at meeting notification and also one minute before the start of a meeting to allow logged in user to join the meeting conveniently. 

While the HDMI page is open, it does not update its content when the selected grabber is disconnected and then connected again. 

User can close the HDMI page and then open it again to update its content.

-  All grabbers are compatible now with RVC.
-  System displays all connected grabbers and cameras to RVC to enable user to select which device is displayed in HDMI.

• HDMI input grabber list doesn’t update its content automatically while accessing RVC Options page.

HDMI input grabber dropdown list doesn’t update its content automatically when connect/disconnect grabber during accessing RVC option page.

Workaround

User can get back to the Settings page, then navigate back to RVC Options, so the list of devices will be updated.

• Contacts Search

Search in contacts page now allows user to search the Lync’s search provider by “Name” or “Skill”, not only filter the contacts list .

• Support 24H time format

Now when user changes the system’s date/time format from settings, the application will use these user’s preferences.

• Support answering video calls from audio devices e.g. (Jabra speaker)

Now user can accept video call using his headset, and video call will start normally.

• Enhance HDMI Sharing 

1. For “HDMI Sharing” feature, RVC will now show the HDMI input only, not all cameras. 
2. HDMI Sharing controls have been redesigned to be more intuitive and user friendly.

• Can’t re-sync contacts after network failure

When Network is down and up again, Lync couldn’t retrieve the contacts list.
    Workaround
After network failure, restart application manually from Settings > Power Options.

• Participant list doesn’t update when user accepts an incoming call during an ongoing call

When user is in a call and accepts an incoming call, the participants list in the charms bar still displays the old participants.
    Workaround
When using the participants list is important, make sure you establish a new call.

• “Meet now” and “Meet now with whiteboard” sometimes does not start in full screen mode

In rare occasions, meet now and meet now with white board will not start in full screen mode.
    Workaround
From conversation controls in the top of the page, tap the full screen button.

• Highlighting next meeting may not work correctly at a specific case

When a new meeting is added to the calendar during the day, the current meeting will remain highlighted and the next meeting will not be highlighted instead.
    Workaround
Navigate to any page and back to the calendar.

• Overlapping meeting notifications causes only the first one to appear

When user schedules more than one meeting very close to each other that the meeting notification for one of them should appear before the previous one actually starts, only the first meeting’s notification will appear.
    Workaround
Make the notification period less than the time slot between meetings.

• Can’t make calls/meeting via Pexip gateway 
  

When user makes calls/meeting via Pexip, Lync client stops working 
    Workaround
Contact our support to get specialized help for this issue.

• Manually search for updates 

User can manually check for RVC in addition of the automatic notification once any update is available.

• Password Protection for Settings screens  

More security and stability for the configured settings. Admin can choose whether to set a password or not for the Settings screen to prevent any unauthorized access to Settings.

• Make RVC Always up and never sleeps 

To increase accessibility, the sleep state for RVC is removed. RVC system and device became always up and never sleeps even if it is not used for more than 30 minutes. 

• Shut Down option added to Power Options screen

In Previous version, user was allowed only to shut down the RVC from the Home screen only. To provide more usability, shutdown option is added to the configuration screen. 

• Additional System Information 

Time Zone and Language are removed from System Information screen since it can be accessed from System Settings screen.
Model, SKU, Hardware Version, and Serial Number are added.
